CSU-IP Recommendations:
The following links will take you to letters recommending that I be accepted into the CSU-IP study abroad program in South Korea at Yonsei University. With the help of these letters, I was accepted into this program and have now returned from an amazing adventure in South Korea.A breathtaking shot of my trip to Jeu Island during my second second semester studying abroad in South Korea! |
CLS Program Recommendation:
The following link will take you to a letter recommending that I be accepted into the summer 2016 Critical Language Scholarship Program in South Korea. Fully funded by the U.S. government, the Critical Language Scholarship sends U.S. students abroad to learn critical languages, such as Chinese, Hindi, and Russian. The goal of the CLS program is language and cultural immersion, with a broader emphasis on increasing cultural exchanges and understanding between the United States and other countries. I have recently applied for the program in South Korea, where I hope to improve upon my Korean language proficiency. My goal is to someday live and work in South Korea, so acceptance into this program will be one more step towards this dream. The awardees have not yet been announced for this program, which means at the moment I must wait patiently (or not so patiently).
